For the price I paid (sub-1400), it’s definitely difficult to find a laptop spec’d out like this one. 12th gen Intel Core i7 processor, 105w 8GB Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Gen4 m.2 NVMe SSD with another slot to upgrade in the future…
However, this laptop is geared more for creators (how it’s advertised to consumers) than gamers, or rather, it’s more of a portable workstation that can handle light gaming. An example of this is the UHD/4K 60Hz screen, as it is great for video playback but not the best at playing games on FHD due to capping out at the refresh rate of the screen. Playing games on UHD/4K would be worse due to the lower FPS on that resolution.
I haven’t run down the battery from 100% full to empty, but I would estimate that I can get a little over 3 hours with just browsing the Internet on 20% screen brightness with a balanced power plan. This laptop has sub-par battery life per charge/drain cycle, but since it is rated at 99 Wh, I could take this laptop with me on a plane.
Overall, this laptop is better suited for everything other than gaming. If you’re looking for a dedicated gaming laptop, there are way better options out there. Otherwise, this is one of the best deals for what you can get in a laptop nowadays.

The first pleasant surprise about this 16″ laptop is how slim and light-weight it is. Also, the classy silver case doesn’t scream, “I’m a gamer!” and still offers a nice contrast to the black keyboard and touchpad. The keyboard is very responsive and the intensity of the white backlight is just right. With its cutting-edge processor and 6E WiFi, it handles productivity task like a champ. Outside of work and web browsing, I have only watched movies and streamed videos on the laptop. The picture quality is amazing. However, make sure to plug in the battery for full brightness and position the laptop to minimize glare. A helpful hint I picked up is to go to Windows 11 sound setting to increase frequency response to 24-bit 192000Hz. After that, the sound is excellent for a laptop. The only disappointment is the lack of ports. It is inconvenient to use the included 4-way adaptor, but perhaps it is the price you pay for a slim design. All things considered, I am very satisfied and highly recommend this laptop.

I’ve been enjoying this beautiful, well-built laptop since the first day I have it. The 4k Amoled screen is fabulous, it’s easily the best part of this laptop. I love the overall design, it feels solid as well. The speaker quality is loud and clear (remember to update it in the control panel), it’s 8/10 in my opinion.
I do not have any issue with thermal issues like some ppl mentioned in the review. But the battery life is, indeed, just okay, not horrible at least. And the lack of in-built ports could be annoying sometimes, but at least Gigabyte was considerate enough to give a hub for free, tho they could have designed it better so we can attach it more solidly on the laptop (So I choose to use a USB-c extension to connect them).
The only real complaint I have is the biosystem, it seems like I am unable to install the latest version directly. I’ve tried several times already and all it did was showing the installment screen but never reboots itself, and when I restarted the laptop it still says I need to update it. Eventually, it kinda messed up my control panel thingy (it disable some hotkey settings), so I had to reset to the factory setting. I hope gigabyte will fix this issue someday.
Other than that, I have no complaints about this powerful machine. I would definitely recommend this product when it’s on sale. You will not regret it! I would give 4.5 star out of 5 if I could.

Five stars if you’re getting it on sale, 4 stars if not.
This is an overall solid performer. I primarily purchased this laptop for two main reasons; video editing and occasional gaming. It handles video editing very well, while gaming is ok/decent.
Video editing/content creation: This laptop handles Blackmagic RAW 6K footage with complex color grades extremely well. If I allow the laptop to pre-cache some of the timeline, the playback is silky smooth. Your mileage may vary depending on the video codec you’re editing, but this laptop has handled BRAW, h264 and h265 quite easily. Not to mention the very color accurate 4K OLED Panel. Video editing and color grading is truly a delight on this laptop.
Gaming: It’s decent. On PC, I mostly play esports kinds of titles; League of Legends, Overwatch, etc. At 4K resolution, the games don’t perform that well. You’ll still get 60FPS, but you’ll experience some hiccups, little freezes here and there. Dropping down the resolution to QHD helps, but then now you’re looking at blurrier image.
General feel: I enjoy the aluminum build and no numpad (i really despise numpads). Keyboard feels pretty good with keys having nice feedback and actuation. If I was nitpicking — I’d wish the trackpad wasn’t black and wish the keys on the keyboard deck were slightly larger. But overall, the laptop feels great to the touch.
Overall: This is a good laptop. If you’re able to snag this for sub $1.6k, it’s really worth it. At the original $2.3k asking price though? No, you can definitely get another laptop with comparable build/quality with better performance. If you do decide to get this laptop, just understand that the wattage on the 3070 Ti is lower than other dedicated gaming laptops, namely because the cooling solutions on those other laptops are a bit better. This laptop is geared towards creators and in that sense, serves its’ purpose really well. I highly recommend this laptop if you can get it on sale and if you prioritize content creation over gaming, just don’t expect to do anything productive with the power adapter unplugged. the only use this laptop has when in battery mode is unplugging it to move it somewhere else. Outside of that, the battery life is pretty terrible with the performance to match.
