Its full-frame 24.2MP CMOS sensor makes it possible for you to capture stills and video using the 14-stop active range. With its sensitivity starting from ISO 100-51200, and up to speed processing, you can be sure of precise high color and sharp recording at all times. It also makes use of the upgraded sensor design for delivering Dual Native ISO settings, which gives priority to low sensitivity as well as low noise to produce high-fidelity, low-noise pictures. This camera supports 3:2-format 6K24p video recording and 16:9 5.9K30p so that you wont have issues getting the best result. Our Take On Lumix DC-S1H The Panasonic Lumix DC-S1H boasts of the Variable Frame Rate (VFR) recording function, which makes fast and slow-motion effects realizable with ease. You will like its High Frame Rate (HFR) settings that guarantee the deployment of larger frame rates using 10-bit sampling. With the pre-installation of V-Log, and the availability of a Hybrid Log-Gamma, recording high-detailed works will not be a problem, and color-grading when editing will be a piece of cake. You can use it for still photography with a 9 fps constant shooting rate when using AF-S or 6 fps when you go for AF-C. With its 225-area Depth from Defocus (DFD) contrast-detection autofocus system, you can focus accurately and quickly with an opportunity to track subjects with ease. It comes with sensor-shift image stabilization so that camera shake will not reduce the quality of your works, especially when carrying out the handheld shooting. You will like the water-sealed magnesium alloy body of this camera, hence, you wont have to worry about an unpleasant experience in harsh weather. There is a 1.8-inch LCD that helps you to monitor your recordings for optimum effectiveness. With two SD memory slots, there is ultimate flexibility with the storage of your shootings. Besides, the Lumix DC-S1H features an updated Version 2.0 firmware, hence, you can produce raw output more than HDMI in resolutions of about 5.9K or DCI 4K at 29.97 fps or 59.94 fps respectively if you use it with a harmonious Atomos recorder like the Ninja V. You can create an in-camera time-lapse video using an interval timer to take shots of scenes as time rolls by. Thereafter, you can convert the stills into a 4K60p video using the built-in exposure smoothing. The system frequencies include 59.94 Hz, 50 Hz, or 24 Hz, hence, you can use this camera in any part of the world. If you want to sync footage from various cameras, you can embed an SMPTE-compliant time code without much hassle. This camera has all the features I have wanted for some time, and is within my budget. It is a premium travel camera that has a 1-inch sensor with 20-Million pixels, a very good Leica lens with a 10X optical zoom, and very good optical image stabilization. It comes equipped with a 3-inch touch-screen that allows a host of controls directly. It has very good automatic image control, that makes the camera very easy to use. It also allows one a host of means for manual control, and facilitates this with a control ring on the barrel of the lens and a dial on the top of the camera – and each of these can be user selected for different exposure controls. The camera is small and compact – easily placed in a jacket pocket. It is unintrusive – important for candid shots. I carry it with me on my daily walks, something I would not do with my larger cameras.
The attached photos of a deer family and of a cardinal were each taken at 10X optical zoom, with automatic image control. The camera was handheld, and indicate the quality of the optical image stabilization. The sun rise photo was taken at maximum wide angle, again with automatic image control.
Some accessories I would suggest include:
    – SanDisk – Extreme PRO 128 GB SDXC Memory Card
    – Case Logic – Era Camera Pouch
    – Spare battery (DMW-BLG10PP)

I highly recommend this camera to all!

This camera is more than what I expected.
In shopping for a point and shoot camera for my trip there were two qualities that I needed.
    1. delivers quality photos close to my SLR.
    2. being that I am a true novice/beginner, SIMPLE!!
This camera has superseded all my expectations. The quality of the photos came out better than my SLR (Nikon 3200). Maybe it’s because this camera has a feature (with the option to disable) to display a brief description of what each setting does. For a “dummy”, this was really helpful (recall, I am a beginner so I have very little skill and understanding of f/stops, ISO, etc).
All that matters is, all my shots were in focus and the quality is AMAZING! . The only con I have is its a bit bulky as a pocket camera.

Purchased this LUMIX camera after reviewing other similar cameras. Particularly like the anti shake and zoom features. Has touch screen and am still learning more features of the camera. Wanted the higher megapixels.

I got this camera to take photos at concerts since my DSLR isn’t allowed in and the last point and shoot i bought was back in 2010, so a little outdated. Have taken it to a couple shows so far and it’s worked great! Obviously isn’t going to be on par with a DSLR, but the zoom range is really good and the fact that it shoots in RAW is perfect for me.

I have a Canon 6D and a wide array of lenses, which are great, but too heavy to carry around on a daily basis. Finally got tired of inferior mobile phone photos so decided to pick up a bridge camera that can fit in my pocket and produces decent quality images. Researched the current line of advanced point & shoots and settled on the ZS100 because image quality appears comparable to the others and it has a 10x zoom, which makes it more versatile.
Obviously image quality of a 1″ sensor is not up to full frame standards, but I’ve found it much better than my mobile phone and unless I pixel peep, can produce images that are very acceptable.
The biggest benefit I’ve found is that it has expanded my ability to be creative and capture images that I wouldn’t have taken before. Generally I use a tripod with my DSLR, which takes time to set up. The ZS100 allows me to shoot quickly and hand-hold shots from various angles with surprisingly good results.
The only negative I feel is the difficulty in controlling ISO, aperture and shutter speed. Maybe its just a matter of getting used to the controls, but I would have preferred separate controls like what’s offered with the LX100. I was very tempted to get the LX100 except for the slightly larger size and limited zoom range.
All in all, I’m pleased with the ZS100 and look forward to using it as my casual go-to camera.
