This vacuum works great and is perfect for quick clean ups and light enough that my 8 year old can use it easily. The handheld option comes in handy for all kinds of things. I am very glad I bought this. It definitely makes quick cleanups much easier!

The only complaint I have is the roller accumulates hair that has to be manually removed. I was hoping this vacuum would fix that problem.
One problem battery operated vacuums have is the limited time of use before requiring recharging. I like that Shark made this battery removable; however, I wish they would have included a backup battery, since I find myself forgetting to charge the battery after cleaning.
This vacuum did a great job cleaning both hardwood floors and carpet. The boost trigger is a great addition, but seems to be designed for larger hands. The most awesome feature Shark included on this vacuum was the bristle head, which prevents hair from wrapping around it.
Pros
Great cleaning of hardwood and carpet
Removable battery
Bristle head prevents hair accumulation
Cons
Only one battery included
Debris catches on dustbin door (see photo)
Power boost trigger not designed for small hands
I would recommend this vacuum to anyone who would like a powerful battery operated unit that allows for swapping batteries. I would especially recommend this for anyone who has a family or dog with long hair. Just remember to pick up an extra battery or look for a package with two.

The Pros:
Cordless
Good Charge
Good Design
Powerful
The Cons:
No stand
Accessories are a mess
It’s a trap!
Here are the pros I encountered using the Shark cordless pet plus anti-allergen vacuum. First, I have three dogs, and they shed terribly. On most days, I find myself vacuuming with my older cordless Dyson vacuum (which by, the way, is terrible; it does not hold a charge, and it does not pick up everything, and we maintain the vacuum). I found that it takes an hour to an hour and a half to fully charge the cordless vacuum, and you can use it on full power for about thirty minutes. What I mean is, there is a trigger located conveniently on the handle, where you pull it, and the power increases for hard-to-pickup hair/dust/crumbs. The increase in power ensures that I do not have to go over an area more than once while vacuuming (this is especially useful with dog hair), but also I can pick up dust that settles under hard-to-reach areas too (like under a bed). You can see the dust being removed from the floor on full power as you are vacuuming, thus removing any allergy-related particles that settle.
Additionally, the vacuum is powerful, and on full power, I can vacuum my 1,400 square foot house with no issues. However, with my cordless Dyson model with the same “power enhancement mode,” I clean for ten minutes, and only half of my house is vacuumed. Again, this Shark vacuum holds a charge, its powerful suction is useful for pet hair and for allergens that pollute the air, but it also takes little time to recharge. More so, the accessories are good, but the specific wand that you use to vacuum pet hair off a couch is OK. The issue I ran into is that the hair sticks to the tool, and you are spending more time removing it from the attachment piece than from the couch. Although not a terrible thing (because it takes the hair off well), it can be a bother for someone who does not want to spend the time to clean the attachment wand off. Lastly, the Shark cordless vacuum can clean both hardwood floors (which I have) but also low-pile area rugs (which I too have) in my home. If you plan to use this on a high-pile (shag-like) area rug, be cautious as it does not do as good a job of vacuuming. I noticed the vacuum becomes louder, and crumbs do not come up as well; it is not a big deal for us as we have another vacuum that can vacuum this rug.
Now, the Shark cordless vacuum does not come with a stand of any kind. Meaning, if you plan to hang it up to charge, you will have to carefully lean it up against the wall to prevent it from falling (the wheels may slip, so place it up against another object to prevent the vacuum from slipping). Although this is not a deal-breaker by any means, I wish Shark followed suit with what Dyson does and include a wall mount for your vacuum to conveniently charge and a place to store the accessories when not in use. Speaking of the accessories, when you are not using them, you cannot attach them to the vacuum for storage, and they sit on your floor where you store the vacuum waiting for use. Hopefully, Shark provides a wall hanging mount that will allow you to attach accessories to it soon. Lastly, the trap on the vacuum is easy to release and remove the vacuumed debris. However, where the advertised “release and go” is not so easy to use. Once you press and release the trapped debris, sometimes hair gets tangled around the filter inside it; thus, the quick and release system fails, and you have to stick your hand inside the trap and pull out the hair that gets tangled in and around the filter.
Overall, the Shark cordless pet plus allergen vacuum is easy to use, and it has a lot of power to pick up dander, pet hair, and dust. Where it lacks is an accessory storage option and trap cleanout. Though, these faults should not sway someone from purchasing this vacuum. I highly recommend the Shark cordless vacuum, and it makes cleaning more enjoyable/painless.

In this one, I’d say Shark won.
For much less money, you get a very capable, very lightweight vacuum that tackles hardwood floors, carpets, the car, and makes a great bug-catcher when a house centipede or spider finds its way into your home. We have a moderate-shedding dog and she was the main reason we bought this. It does a great job picking up her half-inch length hairs, and the built-in HEPA filter was another major selling point for me.
Only complaint that I have is that it doesn’t stand up on it’s own. They should’ve included a cheap metal stand for the price, but it sees so much use in our home that it is always floating around different rooms anyways. Using the ‘high power’ trigger off and on, we’ve found we get about 20-25 minutes on one battery charge, which is just enough to get to every nook and cranny in our apartment.

The wife loves it. We have an older Shark that still works from time to time but the motor started to give out after owning it for 3 years. I don’t know exactly how long these stick vacuums are supposed to last but these are great for people with minimal carpet and have no more than 1400 sq ft of space to vacuum. If you have anything above 1200sq ft with all carpet, I’d recommend two batteries or a corded vacuum. The battery lasts approx 40-50 mins if you’re not using the extra turbo mode. Sucks exceptionally well and holds a little more trash than our previous model. We prefer removable batteries in case it fails we replace it vs the other brands with fixed battery and only last about 35 mins. Another plus is it stands on its own and doesn’t require a wall mount. I find wall mounts unnecessary and hideous to look at. I don’t know why people are upset that this doesn’t have a wall mount. Not having a wall mount makes it versatile in storage and still takes up the same or less space.
The only reason I wouldn’t recommend this particular model is because of the new wand design. Standard accessories from any other vacuum will not fit. No longer has a circular wand. It’s a completely different shape and no available shark or aftermarket accessories that I have found on the market. So the cleaning reach is definitely limited. In my opinion that’s worth removing 1 star.
If you use or like having the option of flexible wands or different type wands … You’re out of luck with this one.
